Below you will find a list of questions frequently asked by our members and prospective members regarding our website, bill payment and the services offered by Angela’s Angels. If you cannot find the answer to your question below, please contact us through our contact form.
What is Angela’s Angels?
Angela’s Angels is a meeting place allowing people requiring household help and those offering their services to make contact. Angela’s Angels is not an employment agency. We do not interview or meet with the Angels who have registered with us. We merely provide a forum for you to connect.
At Angela’s Angels, there are two easy ways to find your ideal Angel:
- You can post a job and contact suitable applicants directly; or
- You can search our database of Angels who are looking for employment in your suburb.
It is a simple, thorough and cost-effective way for you to find the perfect household helper for your needs!
How does it work?
You can start immediately. As soon as your membership is verified you are able to:
- Conduct a search for Angels in your area;
- Post a job on our site;
- Contact the Angel(s) who suit you and arrange an interview and reference check to select the right Angel for your family.
- Make an offer to your chosen Angel.
There are no ongoing fees. We would, however, like your feedback as we love hearing about the differences our Angels make in each placement.
How much does it cost to become a member?
Membership of Angela's Angels is an annual fee of A$50.00. Membership gives the Hirer the ability to post jobs and contact our Angels to organise interviews and possible future employment.
How can I pay?
You can pay by PayPal, Visa or Mastercard.
Are payments on your site secure?
Payments are all handled by Paypal's secure servers, not by our site. Your financial details will be handled by some of the most secure processes online. Your credit card details are never on our site or servers.
Does Angela's Angels take a commission?
No. Angela's Angels does not take any commissions. All financial transactions are agreed to and conducted between the Hirer and the Angel.
How long after I pay do I get access to the site?
Our system is fully automated, so once you have completed the registration and payment process you will have immediate access to the members’ only area.
How long does it take for my job posting to appear?
Your posting will be visible as soon as it is validated.
Who are the Angels?
Our Angels have a lot of experience and love interacting with people. They may be university students, mothers, fathers, or grandmothers. They are all looking for flexible work hours to fit in with their own commitments.
Does Angela’s Angels meet the household helpers?
No, we are only an introduction service. Angela’s Angels is a meeting place allowing people requiring help and those offering their services to make contact. Angela’s Angels is not an employment agency.
Should I post a job?
Yes! We highly recommend posting a job, detailing the skills and experience you require your Angel to have. The posting should also list work hours, duties, conditions and expectations.
What will the Angels’ profiles show me?
You will see the qualifications, age, experience, skills, hourly rates, drivers’ licenses, first aid qualifications, police checks and whether references are available. Angela’s Angels recommends that this information should be verified at an interview.
Can I find someone who lives nearby?
The list of Angels is sorted geographically – so the first group shown on the list are all in your suburb, then the next group is in the next suburb and so on. The Angels have all chosen how far they are willing to travel from home. Angels will only show up in your search if they have chosen to work in your area.
Do you provide references and recommendations?
Angela’s Angels do not provide references and do not give recommendations, however, all our Angels are asked to supply references or referees’ phone numbers to you directly. We recommend that you contact current or past employers to ask questions to confirm your choice. To make your decision easier, the site also has Ratings (online feedback). These ratings are posted by other members in the Angela’s Angel community who have previously dealt with that Angel.
When members reply to me, where are the emails sent? Do I need to check my Angela’s Angels account?
Emails will always be sent to the email address you used when you registered with Angela’s Angels so you only need to check your personal email account.
Can I make changes to my Posted Job?
You can make changes to your Posted Job at anytime. Simply sign in to your account and click ‘Change details’.
Can I delete my account?
You can delete your account at any time. All information, including feedback will be removed.
If you do wish to delete your account:
- Log in to Angela's Angels
- Select "Account Settings" from the drop down menu
- Click on "Delete Account"
- You will get the prompt "Are you sure you want to delete your account? This can't be undone"
- Click "OK"
How can I contact Angels?
Once you join you will be able to contact our Angels through our secure site by email. After this initial email contact it is recommended that contact details are shared between the Angel and Hirer.
How long will it take to find an Angel?
Depending on what services you require the whole process can take as short as a few hours but we suggest you should allow up to 2 weeks if you have unique requirements. Generally we find a few days are all it takes.
Can I get a refund?

I am having trouble logging in, what do I do?
After we process your payment, it can several minutes for your account to become active. Angela’s Angels will send an email to your inbox as soon as your account is ready. You should be able to log in immediately! If you have forgotten your password, just click the “forgot your password” link located below the log in box. You will then receive an email with a link to reset your password.
